Grid Modernization Summit
Today’s aging grid does not have many of the capabilities needed to meet the expectations of “Amazon age” customers and manage the operational demands of a generation mix featuring increasing amounts of renewable power and BTM solar PV, storage and EVs. At the same time, the pace of technological advancement is outpacing the traditional regulatory cycle, while flat load growth is limiting a utility’s ability to explore all the technologies emerging to help manage an increasingly flexible two-way grid.
